This bad boy resurrects the iconic gem from Crytek, originally blaring onto our screens back in 2021, and it’s back with a vengeance, decked out with graphics so smooth you'll think you just stepped out of a spaceship!
Now, let’s break it down—this isn’t just a stroll through a pretty jungle; oh no, it’s a tactical playground where your only goal is to obliterate everything in your path while looking stylish doing it. Imagine yourself in an open-world sandbox, armed with a customizable nanosuit that'll make you more than just a walking target. You can cloak yourself like a ghost, run fast enough to give Usain Bolt a run for his money, and pile on the firepower from an impressive arsenal of weapons that would make any gun enthusiast drool!
But wait, there’s more! Picture epic battles on islands that look like they’ve been plucked straight out of a 5-star vacation brochure—except instead of relaxing, you're dodging bullets and blowing up military hotspots like it’s your morning coffee routine. We’re talkin’ about wild shootouts that are so dynamic, they could make Michael Bay jealous! For some reason, this doesn't feel remastered at all. Starting on positive note, the graphics is ok, and probably when this title came out, it must've been quite a mind breaker that certain objects on the map can get demolished. Now with all positives out of the way, my main gripe with this title is that the gameplay somehow doesn't sit right. Controls feels out of whack, I think there was a weapon wheel but the key to pull it out was so inconvenient that I was using scroll to swap weapons and I know that you can change key bindings, but I refused because this is how authors wanted it to be played. Flying VTOL? You better be joking. Thank god there was only one point that required flying, because generally speaking the controls are so botched, I might as well fly with display off using floor rag as input device and achieve the same result. Right from get-go the game misleads you to thinking that you can play each mission quietly by adding suppressors to almost any weapon and hinting that there is alert meter. Better ignore that crap because enemies spots you from kilometers sometimes even without even looking at your direction while crawling inside bushes. They'll raise the alarm and you're cooked. You can wait for it to go down a bit, but that unnecessary extends the time spend playing it plus on other difficulty levels than easy you die easier than in Souls franchise. I finished the game under 8h [and spent like 1h afk] including completing all extra tasks, but some sections you just gotta sprint and forget about enemies. About sprinting, idk who's idea that was to stick sprinting, jumping and melee under "power" meter, but it's more than annoying and again extends playtime without adding much in return. There was mentioned at the beginning, that the map can be destroyed, but it's super limited to certain tree types and constructions, most of objects still remain indestructible, which I don't see the main reason why remaster couldn't bring those too. My tip for you: find sniper rifle, use it whenever you can because it's honestly one of the better weapons due to low recoil and huge damage. Plus you can take out enemies from longer range from which they can't hit you.
