It's a nice surprise for me. I had never played the MechWarrior franchise and bought it blindly, expecting something like Titanfall 2. However, the game itself plays more like an X4 game, where you manage a small mercenary group, gather and arm mechs, manage inventory and crew, and complete mercenary contracts for resources. Like in every other X4 game, DLCs are basically mandatory to expand the gameplay. The game has a great modding community that has further expanded the gameplay mechanics.

Great, great game! But, it is severely limited by an Unreal engine crash, that freezes the entire game. Thankfully, this occurs at random, otherwise the game would be useless and unplayable. As suggested I contacted their support through Steam, received some help, never closed the ticket, then two or three days later when the problem occurred again, emailed back on the support ticket, and ,three weeks later am still waiting for a reply. Unfortunately, the game is just good enough for me not to request a refund. Still, a very frustrating experience.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Mechwarrior5 mercenaries is not worth it's price. Game grafics are updated mechwarrior online grafics. Gun play is good. And that's it, no more good thing about this game. AI on your side and on enemy side 50% of the time is extremely retarded. This game is not a passion project. It is a cash grab game, designed to play on our love for mechs and scam us out of our money. Last update stated that they improved AI. It is complete lie. New arena missions 20% off the time are broken. When in Free for all mach. Enemies do not attack each other and you end up 1v10. Extremely f***ing fun...

Buggy game. I had a mission where the last enemy fell through the map and I couldn't complete the mission after a particularly tough battle. The AI in this game is bad, and the game compensates by just throwing more and more bullet sponges at you.
